Our calf shelters are built to provide a safe and comfortable environment for your calves when they need it most.
Crafted with quality materials, our shelters are designed to withstand harsh weather conditions and keep your calves protected from the elements, as shown in the below video.
Available Sizes
The low height of the roof (1.2m) keeps the calves warmer compared to an open shed, helping to increase their growth rate.
Available in five sizes:
- 16 calves – 2 bay – 3.6m long
- 25 calves – 3 bay – 5.4m long
- 35 calves – 4 bay – 7.2m long
- 45 calves – 5 bay – 9.0m long
- 55 calves – 6 bay – 10.8m long
(number of calves is approximate as calf breeds vary in size)
Specifications
The calf shelters are made in a durable, UV stabilised HDPE fabric and come with all necessary parts for erection including poles, ropes and pegs.
All you need is two warratahs, spray paint (for marking holes in the ground), a crowbar and a sledgehammer.
Easy to set up, move, dismantle and store – when the calves have made a mess or run out of grass, simply move it to a new, clean location, and at the end of the season, pack it away and store it out of the way in its purpose-built bag.
Our shelters are made in Nelson and can be shipped to anywhere in New Zealand.
