The Horizon by Franciaflex is a premier folding arm system, providing complete protection from the elements. Horizon awnings are custom-made using high quality components with European technology & styling.
These awnings retract and extend via a spring-loaded system which ensures a smooth, taut finish to your awning. They can be manually operated with a removeable handle or electronically. Wind sensors are also available to ensure the awning retracts when winds reach sufficient strength whereby the awning could be damaged.
We can supply rechargeable motors, solar powered motors & hard-wired motors. Also remote control or hard wired switches.
Franciaflex has a long history of producing high quality components for the European shade & window furnishing markets. All Horizon components are aluminium or stainless steel making it the perfect system to stand the test of time in the harsh New Zealand environment. Horizon awnings have a five year warranty & are built tough.

The Vertigo window awning is a great solution for window shading & interior privacy, having been designed with interior climate control & solar protection in mind. Sunscreen mesh allows natural filtered light & acrylic canvas provides a private finish.
Vertigo awnings can be lowered to give your windows privacy from neighbouring properties & main thoroughfares.
Vertigo awnings are an excellent way to protect your carpet, shop fittings & furniture from harmful UV rays. Using window awnings in the warmer seasons can significantly reduce cooling costs by blocking sunlight from entering through the window.

Awnings are ideal for blocking harsh sunlight without obstructing the view. Choosing an awning is as easy as contacting us & we will provide advice on fabric, style and valance design.
Whether it’s a bold accent or a neutral color that blends, the fabric used on awnings should complement the home’s interior and exterior décor.
If you love bold colors, choose an awning fabric that pulls an accent color from the interior design outside or consider matching the fabric to your home’s trim color. Another option is to use a lighter or darker version of your home’s paint color or a striped fabric that features the home’s trim color on a neutral background.
Retractable awnings give homeowners the maximum versatility in shading because they can open to practically any angle – even past 90-degrees, if desired – to block the sun as it traverses the sky. They even neatly retract out of sight when they aren’t needed.
Extendable awnings have a clean, simple appearance because they don’t have fabric on the sides of the awning.
The valance on an awning is the piece of fabric that hangs off the front bar. It provides additional shade protection, as well as an element of design, and valance shapes vary greatly from scallops and waves, to slits and arches. They can also have contrasting trim or no trim at all.
